YORK COUNTY, S.C. — South Carolina Highway Patrol said one person is dead and another is injured after a crash involving a motorcycle in York County.
The crash happened Saturday on Interstate 77, about a mile from Fort Mill, South Carolina.
Troopers said 66-year-old Randall Sherman and his passenger were thrown from the bike after hitting a median and flipping over.
Authorities said Sherman died at the scene and the 61-year-old passenger was transported to the hospital.
The passenger's condition is unknown at this time.
Officials said both Sherman and the passenger were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
