Police search for suspect who robbed Steele Creek restaurant at gunpoint

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they’re looking for a man who robbed a Taco Bell in Steele Creek at gunpoint.

Police released a picture of the suspect.

They said the armed man entered the restaurant on South Tryon Street on Aug. 6 at 12:28 a.m. and robbed the business.

Officers said the suspect left the scene, possibly in a silver SUV.

Police described him as around 25 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 150 lbs.

He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored jeans and dark-colored shoes.
