CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood gains a classic cocktail bar this week.
Idlewild makes its debut Thursday at 5 p.m.
That membership-based cocktail bar is on the ground floor of the Novel NoDa development, located at 424 E. 36th St.
“It’s something I always wanted to do,” owner Vince Chirico says of the concept.
He was drawn to Charlotte’s fast-growing food and cocktail scene. The NoDa location felt like a fit with its vibe, growth and proximity to a light-rail station.

Chirico says he invested south of $500,000 to get that space ready.
