CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This family restaurant and sports bar franchise — co-owned by New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees — has plans for multiple locations in the Charlotte market.
Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar is working to line up franchisees for Charlotte and surrounding communities. Corporate restaurants are also a possibility to establish a presence here, says Brandon Landry, founder and chief executive.
“We know we’re going to be in Charlotte,” Landry says. “Charlotte is such a booming market.”
The restaurant chain’s representatives recently spent time in Charlotte getting a feel for the market and real estate options. Landry says Concord Mills, Highland Creek, Gastonia and the Fort Mill/Rock Hill areas are under consideration. It sees as many as six locations in the market at this time.
“We like to know the market,” Landry says. “Our brand travels well to the suburban areas.”
