Evan Donovan joined Eyewitness News in October 2022. He anchors the Noon news on WSOC Channel 9 and the 7 p.m. show on WAXN TV64. Evan grew up in Raleigh. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in finance and international business. After a career in finance that took him around the world, he pursued his passion for broadcasting, starting in radio before moving into TV news. He previously anchored and/or reported at News 14 Carolina (now-Spectrum News) in Fayetteville, NC; WLOS in Asheville; and WFLA in Tampa. Evan is the recipient of two AP awards, two RTDNA awards, a regional Emmy and a regional Murrow (team award). Evan is thrilled to be back in his home state. He lives in Charlotte with his wife and two sons.
